Listen to your body
At the time of writing this, it’s 9 am and I’ve already been working for hours… but I’ve just had to put my robe back on.
I’m absolutely smashing 2021 and so are my team, but it has come at an expense… my own energy.
I woke up this morning at my usual 4 am to see a client at 5:30 am, followed by a LIVE online meditation, and a workout for my students, followed by cold water therapy and then… I bonked. “Bonking” is a fitness term used when you have no energy left to keep going.
I give so much because I care so much.
So many people are passionate about what they do and who they serve, but unfortunately, forget to serve themselves.
Has this happened to you? Is this you right now?
If it’s you… it’s OK. Passion can drive us in this direction. It’s normal.
BUT… It’s NOT OK if you keep letting it happen.
Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Rescue yourself IMMEDIATELY. (A.A.A.)
- ASK yourself the right questions.
- ASSESS what you can do better.
- ADJUST yourself accordingly.
By 9 am this morning I had done the same… I asked, assessed and adjusted.
I rescheduled my meetings for today, I won’t be doing any more exercise today. I’m delegating and eliminating anything that isn’t absolutely necessary and I’ll be working and resting on the sofa.
Tomorrow I’ll be back to 100% to serve my coaching clients.
